ABOUT

Here's the important things you need to know about finding the right photographer:

1) Cost and what it includes
2) Experience and education
3) Shooting style
4) Wedding day presence and attitude

No one knows this better than I do, because although I've been doing wedding photography for over 3 years now, I got married recently and had to find my own wedding photographer! So here are my answers:

1) I am pricing my weddings very fairly, as to break into the columbus market and also to allow those brides on a limited budget to book a quality photographer. Consider what it is worth to you for having those memories preserved indefinitely. Please see my pricing page.

2) Not only have I been photographing weddings since 2008, but I also have my Professional Digital Photography Certificate from Boston University - CDIA. I started shooting as an assistant in Boston with Kieltyka-Brown Photography, and moved on quickly to book my own weddings in Maine, New Hampshire and Boston. I have recently relocated to Ohio.

3) Photojournalistic and detailed. I shoot for the album, meaning I capture images to completely document the day from start to finish. My strength is capturing your wedding in a way that tells your story, from many perspectives. One thing I learned at my wedding is, you really do miss a lot of the details being the bride. The pictures are the only way you get to actually see all your hard work, beautiful decorations, and the many people who came to be with you.

4) I love what I do, and I love making people happy. Before wedding day I take time to get to you know and your fiancee. It important to me to get an understanding of how you imagine your wedding, so I can be ready to capture all those special details. On wedding day, I come prepared with a smile on my face and cameras in hand. While I manage to capture all the details, I remain in the background, shooting quietly. I don't prefer to do too much styling or posing. I find beauty in the way things happen naturally. I will do some posing for formal portraits, but I do prefer to keep that session concise. When I do the couples session, I will place the two of you in a beautiful setting, and ask you to interact together, in your quiet moment. Or sometimes I may have you dance together or simply jump! These sessions create fantastic expressions and are just plain fun to do!
